FARM LABOUR NEEDED
“We won’t need the experts so much as we need the labour,” said Mr. .T. Peal, who represents the Farmers Union on the Wanganui Chamber of Commerce, during a discussion on the needs for the people of the district to make greater efforts to increase production. Mr. Peat said the back country was going out of production simply because labour was unobtainable. The soil was losing its virginity and a bolter system of farming was needed to get the best out of it.
