MYTHICAL RAID
GERMAN VERSION MINISTER’S EXPOSURE (British Official Wireless.) Rood. 9 a.m. RUGBY, Oct. 11. Referring to German reports ns to the number of British planes shot down, the Air Minister, Sir' Kingsley Wood in his address yesterday gave an instance of the way in which these reports were frequently grossly exaggerated. According to early German reports, eight French aircraft were destroyed in the course of an alleged attack on Friedrichshaven. “No doubt the German defences were in action on this occasion, but it is less clear against what they were in action, for most certainly neither the British nor the French were responsible for this mythical raid,” he said.
