Victoria League Officers

The Poverty Bay branch of the Victoria League, at its annual meeting yesterday, effected a change in its rules allowing for the election of a chairman, who will be the executive head Of the organisation should the president not be available. The election of officers was formal, for file nominations received were just sufficient to fill the posts, as follows: —President, Miss A. L. Rees; chairman, Mrs. G. W. Humphreys, vicepresidents, Mesdames F. A. Balfour and R. F. Gambrill; hon. secretary, Mrs. F. Wickens; lion, treasurer, Mrs. T. Y. Cuthbert; assistant hon. treasurer, Mrs. K. A. Woodward: committee, Mesdames P. Barry, H. 11. DeCosta, W. M. Jenkins, F. R. Hill, II Holmes, M. Lawless, D. McKengue, and E. Trowell. Mrs, G. A. Nicholls was appointed a delegate to the central representative committee of women's organisations, and Mrs. K A. Woodward and Mrs. A. M. PufTlett as delegates respectively to the St. John Ambulance Association and the Red Cross Society.
