NAZI LEADERS BLAMED
RESPONSIBILITY FOR WAR T. U. C. DEC L ARATH )N (Reed. Sept. 5, 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 4. The Trades’ Union congress renewed its appeal to the German workers to realise that the quarrel is only against the aggressive principles of the Nazi Government which the congress regarded as wholly responsible for the war. The congress, with two dissentients, agreed to a declaration ol policy on the war situation. Under the leadership of the Nazi dictators, Germany had destroyed th e peace and order of the world. The invasion of Poland by overwhelming forces, beginning with the pitiless bombing of open towns, revealed the Nazi Government as the destroyer of the ordered life of mankind.
Congress placed upon them the supreme responsibility for the war.
