Dr J. L. Wright, at present first assistant in obstetrics and gynaecology at St George’s Hospital, London, has been appointed Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Otago and obstetrician and gynaecologist to the Otago l Hospital Board. Dr Wright, who was born in Dunedin in 1915, graduated at the Otago Medical School and served with the 2nd N.Z.E.F. in the Middle East. He will succeed Sir Bernard Dawson who is retiring at the end of the year. ______________
