LUXURY LINER TO VISIT N.Z. ON WORLD CRUISE

CHRISTCHURCH, This Day (P.A.).—The Caronia, the largest passenger liner built since the war, will bring hundreds of wealthy tourists for a short visit to New Zealand when it calls at the North Island in February on its first trip to New Zealand waters. The Caronia, which has a displacement of 34,183 tons, will be on a luxury 111-day round-the-world cruise The British liner would reach Auckland on February 6, sailing again on February 7, and would berth at Wellington for a few hours on February 9, said Mr J. F. Beckett, Christchurch manager for Thos. Cook and Son, who will organise short excursions.
