STRONGMAN STATE MINE IDLE TODAY

The Strongman State mine was idle today, folllowing a prolonged mine-mouth meeting this morning. The meeting lasted more than two hours and at the conclusion, the union officials informed .the management that it was too late for the men to go down the mine. It is stated that no dispute exists and that the meeting was concerned with union business. It coincided with the return of officials who were members of the Trades Union Congress delegation which visited the Waikato field last week.
