Record Number Of Cars
WELLINGTON, This Day (P.A.). —Motor-vehicle registrations in New Zealand at June 30 reached the all-time record of 421,492, said the PostmasterGeneral, Mr W. J. Broadfoot, today.’ This was* an increase of 29,106, or 7.42 per cent, on the figure for the year previous. This year’s record figures include 237,668 cars (an increase of 10,129), 161,975 commercial vehicles (an -increase of 17,517) and 21,849 cycles (an increase of 1460)).
