Truman And The Atom Bomb
.WASHINGTON, July 27 (Rec. 11 a.m.). —President Truman said today, thqt he was not considering the use of the atomic bomb in the Korean war. The President.said he still hoped ferverently for world peace. Answering questions about the proposal from Mr Bernard Baruch, an American elder statesman, for an immediate ceiling on everything, Mr Truman said he saw no necessity now for wage price and manpower controls, but, if necessary, they would be imposed as part of all-out mobilisation. He hoped, however, that allout mobilisation would not be required. /
