The Goodwood Cup, of two miles and five furlongs, run at Goodwood today, resulted: Vai Drake, 1; Aidborough, 2; Native Heath, 3. Four started. Won by two lengths; five lengths. Time, s.6.—London, July 27.
N.S.W. Flood Damage The Lachlan river, in New South Wales, which has broken its banks at Forbes, has divided the town into three parts, forcing 200 people from their homes. All roads out of Forbes are closed, and the damage has cost local graziers £750,000. The Barwon and Darling rivers, remain high, but reports from Mofee indicate that the levels of the Gwydir ahd Namoi rivers are dropping.—Sydney, July 27.
