LOWER PRICE FOR N.Z. TALLOW IN BRITAIN
WELLINGTON, June 23 (P.A.). — New Zealand will receive less for tallow shipped to Britain under the new contract with the Ministry of Food. The new prices will be 2| per cent, below the present prices. The Minister of Marketing (Mr K. J. Holyoake), who announced this evening the renewal of the contract for another year from October 1 to September 30, 1951, _ said that the other terms and conditions were unchanged. The Ministry of Food had now agreed, however, that New Zealand could, if desired, sell unrestricted quantities of edible tallow and limited quantities of low grade technical tallow to other markets.
