WELSH RUGBY WINGER TO JOIN BRITISH TEAM AT GISBORNE

WELLINGTON, This Day (P.A.). -Lewis Jones, the Welsh Rugby winger, who is flying from Brjtam, will join the British Isles team at Gisborne early next week, it was announced at a meeting of the executive of the N.Z.R.F.U. today. A cablegram from the British Union expressed appreciation of New Zealand’s action in allowing a replacement. There is every likelihood that. a New Zealand University team will play matches in Sydney and Brisbane next year. The executive decided today to seek consent from the Australian Union for the proposed tour.
