National Party Officers

Nominations for officers to be elected at the annual conference of the New Zealand National Party, to be held at Christchurch on July 10 and July 11, were announced by the secretary of the party (Mr T, M. Wilkes) yesterday. They are:—President: Mr W. J. Sim, K.C., of Wellington. VicePresidents: Auckland division, Mr J. Grierson, of Auckland; South Auckland division, Mr L. N. Ritchie, of Raetihi; Wellington division, Mr H. Pitt’s-Brown, of Stoke; Canterbury division, Mr Geoffrey H. Wood, of Christchurch. Vice-president representing the Maori race, Mr A. T. Carroll, of Wairoa. Nominations for vice-president from the OtagoSouthland division have yet to be received. A total of 52 remits will he discussed at'the conference.
