Women’s Institute Delegates
Advice has been received from the Minister of Railways, Mr W. S. Goosman, by Mr J. B. Kent, M.P. for Westland, that his representations on behalf of the West Coast Federation of Women’s Institutes for a special railcar from Greymouth to Christchurch on July 24 have been successful. Arrangements have been made for the rail-car from Greymouth on that date, which is usually a single unit, to be a double unit. The double-unit is being run to accommodate delegates from West Coast women’s institutes, who will attend a conference in Christchurch during that week.
