Takings From Test Match
More than £ll,OOO was paid by spectators for admission to the second Rugby test at Lancaster Park, Christchurch, on Saturday. -This is a record for the park. For-the second test against, the Springboks in 1937, £9OOO was paid. Of the amount, £6450 was taken at the. gate during the day. The remainder came from bookings. Charges for the best reserved seats were the same at each test match, but there,was an increase of Is in admission charges to the embankment on Saturday.—(P.A.)
