AUCKLAND, March 31 (P.A.).— A young man .was killed - instantly when a tractor .he was operating fell back on him at Mercer this afternoon.' He. was: t ( _ Grenfell Snelling, aged about 20,. a farm, labourer employed by Mr Edgar Mansell, manager of Ko.heroa, Ltd. . v , .Snelling was.,top-dressing, a paddock, on the. farm. A .neighbour saw Shelling trying to negotiate a steep
incline. The tractor did not climb the slops on the first attempt and when he tried again the machine fell back on him.
