The following weather forecast was issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, at noon today:— Situation: An anti-cyclpne is moving eastwards across New Zealand. Forecast to 5 p.m. tomorrow! Light variable winds; weather fair and mild. Further outlook: Cloudy. LOCAL RECORDINGS The following recordings were taken at Karoro Meteorological station at 9 o’clock this morning:— _ Barometer 30.13 m (l(Lo.4mil) Maximum temp past 24hr 602 Minimum air temp 432 Minimum grass temp 31.1 Wind East (gentle breeze) Sky Blue and cloudy Bar Considerable swell Rainfall yesterday .. Nil Rainfall to date this year .... 11.76 m Sunshine yesterday . B.4hr Sunshine to date this year .. 266.6 hr The depth on the bar at high water yesterday was 21ft 6in, The funeral took place at the Karoro cemetery yesterday afternoon of Mr Keith Jacobs, of Huntly. Services at the residence of his mother, Mrs S Jacobs, Omoto road, and at the graveside were conducted by the Rev. A. P. Dorrian.
