ECHO OF WANGANELLA DISPUTE HEARD AT STOP-WORK MEETING
WELLINGTON, This Day (P.A.). An echo of the Wanganella dispute was a stop-work meeting of the employees of William Cable and Co., Ltd, Kaiwarra, in the Trades Hall today. Their complaint, first voiced during the repair of the Wanganella two and a half years ago, concerned workshop facilities and amenities. Today’s stop-work meeting decided to convey a protest to the management. The members of several unions are involved and the meeting was called by the shop stewards.
