SPEECH AND MUSIC EXAMINATIONS: GREY PUPILS’ SUCCESS
Pupils of the Greymouth Convent of Mercy and other West Coast teachers were examined recently in elocution and music by Miss Roux, examined for Trinity College of Music, London. The following pupils of the Greymouth Convent were successful ,in their respective examinations:— ELOCUTION Diploma.—Helen O'Neill, Associate (’Practical) 74. intermediate, —(Maximum marks 100, Honours 85, Merit 75, Pass 65) Patricia Mason 77, Alice A. Bourke 65, Dawn Fairhall 65. Junior. —John O'Donnell 85. Advanced Preparatory, —Elizabeth Peters 78, Barbara White 72. First Steps.—Beverley Kennedy 78, Richard Olsen 75. Initial.—Maureen McPhie 80, Patricia Cox 75. MUSIC Intermediate,— Isobel Mitchell (violin) 85. Irene Morgan (singing) 70. initial. —Rosemary Collier (piano) 85. The following pupils of Miss M. Gillespie, A.T.C.L., Greymouth were successful: — ELOCUTION Diploma.—Bevan Holdgate, Associate (Practical) 74. Junior.—Joan Jamieson 76, Michael Galfaney 65, Peter GafYaney 65. Advanced Preparatory.— Margaret McKenzie 82, Roger Tennent 78, Clarice Jamieson 67, Licentiate Diploma.—Miss Nancy Paterson (Hokitika Convent) 77. The following pupils of Miss J.
