Remembrance Day
Throughout the British Isles today, in small churches and. great cathedrals, at simple memorials on village greens, and in the squares of towns and cities, thousands attended services linking them with the great Remembrance Day ceremony at the Cenotaph in London... Their Majesties, Queen Mary, Princess Elizabeth, Princess Margaret, the Duke of. Gloucester, and the Duchess of Kent attended the ceremony at the Cenotaph, which was conducted by the Bishop of London (Dr J. W. C. Wand) His Majesty, Princess Elizabeth, and the Duke of Gloucester placed wreaths on the Cenotaph. Later His Majesty attended a special service at Westminster Abbey, where wreaths were laid on the tomb of the Unknown Soldier. --Lbndon November 6.
