INDUSTRIAL POLICY OF NATIONAL PARTY
WELLINGTON, This Day (P.A.).— The National Party’s industrial policy if it became the Government is being discussed by an official meeting of the National Council of the Federation of Labour today. The secretary of the Federation, Mr K. McL. Baxter, stated that the items being discussed included proposals to hold secret ballots for union elections, and the blacklisting of workers who refuse to sell their labour. No decision was reached this morning and the meeting is continuing this afternoon.
