WELLINGTON, This Day (PA..). —lt was good to see boxers of . the past still interested in the adnjinis-, tration of the sport, said the Minister of Defence, Mr Jones, in welcom- ; ing New Zealand Boxing Association delegates and Dominion champion-' ship competitors today. j The Minister said that the services! had always supported boxing, and had been assisted greatly by the Boxing Association. Welcomes were also extended by the Mayor of Wellington, Mr W. Appleton, the chairman of the Wellington Council of Sport, Colonel G. O’Leary, and the chairman of the New Zealand Council of Sport, Mr J. Meltzer. '
