Foreign Workers
Representatives of 20,000 British cotton spinners at Manchester today rejected the plan of the Ministry of Labour to employ unemployed Italian and Belgian workers in idle British cotton mills. Delegates said that the 10,000 foreigners already working in Lancashire spinning and weaving mills were enough to meet current needs. London, September 24.
