Education Board’s Agricultural Awards

Awards made by the Boys’ and Girls’ Agricultural Club for the 194849 season have been approved by the agriculture committee of the Canterbury Education Board. The Greymouth Harbour Board shield was won this year by Koiterangi Upper, the runners-up being Kakapotahi. Hawarden district High won the Spencer Pennant, with Waikari the runners-up. Consideration has been given by the manual and technical ■ committee of the board to a report submitted by the board’s representatives who attended the conference with representatives of the Greymouth Technical High School Board which was held in Greymouth on September 6 to discuss the proposal for the Canterbury Board to take over the control of the Hokitika Manual Training Centre.
