The West Coast Hockey. Association’s schoolboys’ competition was concluded yesterday, when ; Grey r mouth Rovers defeated Wheelmen Wanderers by two . goals to nil, in a match played, at the Recreation Ground. Cooper and Lynch scored the goals for the. winners. Only one round was played in the competition, because of a. late start and the final positions of the teams were as follows: —
Blackball Success The-honour of inflicting the first defeat in three years on the Hokitika women’s hockey team fell to Blackball last Saturday when the country team won an exciting game by two. goals to one. The Blackball team has been established only two years and last Saturday’s success is a measure of the improvement which the players have shown.
