Indian Territorial Army
The Indian Government has begun a nation-wide recruiting campaign for the Indian Territorial Army, which will be -200,000 strong at first, and later as big *as India’s population can make it. An Army spokesman said he hoped the force would ultimately be many millions strong. Recruits will be drawn from able-bodied men under 35 years of age, and the force will include all the arms and services in the regular army. —Madras, September 21.
