JUDGE’S VERDICT ON GOLF
In a court case in Sydney last month, Mr Justice Street propo.unded the following definition of the royal and ancient game: "The game of golf involves the propulsion of a small hard bail by various types of percussion instruments resulting in a high rate of speed over considerable distances. In view of human frailty of physical make-up it is impossible to control with complete accuracy the flight of the ball, which is apt, at times, to take an erratic course.”
