Once Defeated: N.Z. Cricket Team’s Excellent Record
The New Zealand cricket team put up the best performance of any touring side from the Dominion. It won 13 of the 32 first-class matches played and lost only one. Details are:— Won.—Worcester, Surrey, Cambridge University, Sussex, Hampshire, Combined Services, Gloucestershire, Derbyshire, Scotland, Lancashire, Middlesex, South of England and H. D. Leveson-Gower’s XI. Lo£ t.—Oxford University. Drawn.—Yorkshire, Leicestershire, M.C.C., Somerset, Glamorgan, first test, Surrey, second test, Lancashire, Northamptonshire, third test, Yorkshire, Glamorgan, Warwickshire, Nottinghamshire, Essex, fourth test and Kent. In a second-class game New Zealand drew with Durham. It also drew with the Maori Club and the Club Cricket Conference in one-day matches and beat East Mosley in another one-day game. United Club Meeting Two senior and one junior teams will be entered in the club competitions, it was decided at the annual meeting of the United Cricket Club last evening.
