NAVAL SQUADRON TO EXERCISE WITH AUSTRALIAN SHIPS
AUCKLAND, This Day (P.A.).— The largest New Zealand naval squadron ever to go on manoeuvres left Auckland at noon today for combined exercises with ships of Australian fleet. The New Zealand squadron will proceed to Great Barrier Island, 60 miles'from Auckland, for a weeks cleaning up. It will return to Auckland on Thursday to take aboard 109 Naval Volunteer Reserve officers and ratings The ships will then proceed to Sydney where they are due on October 3. .' - i
