Set- against the background of the 1870 West, this sprawling saga has all the magnificance of the early days in the West. There are no fancy chaps; no trick rodeoJriders nor singing cowboys, but there are scenic moments of breath-taking splendour with, action to match. Not to disregard the engrossing love story which is interwoven with the plot. Veronica Lake and Joel McCrea share top honours on the marquee, with Preston Foster, Donald Crisp, Charlie Ruggles, Don de Fore and Arleen Whelan in the featured roles.
