The West And The Atomic Bomb
NEW YORK, Sept. 21 (Rec. 11 a.m.).—The Western Powers never would use their scientific achievements in the military fields to attack or destroy other nations, said Mr Ernest Bevin, in an address to 1000 leading United Nations delegates at a dinner given by New York City. Mr Bevin said the Western Powers were determined to take every step to avoid using atomic weapons.
“No nation should live under the delusion that it can destroy, us by superiority of armed force,” he added.
