TWO FARMERS AS LABOUR CANDIDATES
WELLINGTON, This Day (P.A.).— The Labour Party’s national executive has endorsed two additional candidates for the General Election, Mr A. J. Smith, who will contest Hurunui, and Mr T. A. Rodgers, Central Otago. Mr Smith, who was born at Oamaru and who is a farmer in the Oxford district, has been associated with the Labour movement for 25 years. M? Rodgers, who was born at Waimate and who is a sheep farmer in the Tuapeka district, has' been an active member of the Labour movement for 36 years.
