MORE APPRENTICES IN AUCKLAND AREA
AUCKLAND, This Day (P.A.).— The intake of apprentices in the Auckland industrial district has improved and is averaging 400 every six months, Mr .T. R. Buxton, district vocational guidance officer said today. More apprenticeship contracts are being entered into in the Auckland area than ever before. Although the number is sufficient to maintain industry, it is .'Still regarded as inadequate, owing to the industrial expansion taking place.
