TEN INJURED
Ten of the touring West Coast Rugby team* suffered injuries which prevented them from playing or brought about their retirement. One was hurt twice and two others'received injuries which affected their play or training. Six forwards injured were B. Mettrick, K. Fisher, D. McKendry, J. Woods. J. Curtain, J. Hagen, while the backs were E. G. Walker, J. Gillan (twice), J. G. Fraser and H. Tainui.
