Titahi Favoured In Strong Field For Avondale Cup

Titahi will be one of fpe favourites for the £2600 Avondale Cup Handicap, -to be decided at the Avondale Jockey Club’s spring meeting, to be held at Avondale tomorrow. In his last start Titahi ran fourth to Robin’s Reward, Indian Song, and Conclusion at Trentham, and previous to that he had won at the Hawke’s Bay meeting. The Brer Fox gelding will be a strong candidate tomorrow. The Sherriff Handicap tomorrow will mark the return to racing of Mr T. Impey’s record-breaking two-year-old Gold Script, who showed nhenomenal speed in his races last season. Even though he has not raced since last April, he will be a warm favourite tomorrow.
