Mrs Bridget Coumbe

The death occurred yesterday afternoon of one of the oldest residents of Greymouth. Mrs Bridget _ Coumbe, Shakespeare street. Born in County Clare, Ireland, 92 years ago, she came to New Zealand at the age of seventeen and settled in Rutherglen m the days of alluvial goldmining. Mrs Coumbe was predeceased by her husband, Edwin Coumbe, 42 years ago, and is survived by two daughters. Misses Eva and Mabel Coumbe (Greymouth) , and by three sons, Alfred and William (Greymouth), and Albert (Christchurch). There are three brothers, Richard, and Thomas Walsh (South Beach) and Patrick Walsh (Christchurch). The funeral will take place privately at the Karoro cemetery tomorrow.
