YOUNG FOOTBALLERS TRAVEL FOR MATCHES
With schools in the Greymouth district closing for the second term holidays yesterday, a number of schoolboy footballers are being given the opportunity to travel to various towns m New Zealand. , , , On Thursday the West Coast schoolboy Rugby League team left for New Plymouth to take part in a New Zealand tournament. The team will have over a week in the town. Another Rugby League team left this morning —the under 7st 71b representatives, will plav Canterbury at Christchurch on Monday tor the Norman Cox Cup, and return to Greymouth on Tuesday. A Canterbury team—the under 6st 71b representatives will arrive in Grevmouth thus afternoon and play their Greymouth counterparts for the Innes Memorial Cup at Victoria Park on Monday. , , , The West Coast primary schools Rugby representatives will leave tomorrow for Nelson where the annual Seddon Shield districts’ tournament will be held. They will play matches against schoolboy teams from Marlborough, Golden Bay-Motueka, Buller, and Nelson during the coming week. Other lower grade Rugby teams from Greymouth are clue to leave for Christchurch at the end of the week. Also teams from Canterbury are to play matches at Greymouth next week-end-
