POWER BOARD SOCIAL
The fourth annual social of the staff of the Grey Electric Power Board was held in the Blaketown Hall on Friday evening. The large number present included members of the board and the staff and their wives. The hall was decorated for the occas- . ion and music for dancing was supplied by the Mavfair Dance Band, Mr B. Knowles being M.C. There were numerous novelty dances and paper hats; balloons, streamers and confetti were distributed to guests. A supper provided by a women’s committee was a feature of the evening, at the conclusion of which brief addresses were given by the engineer, Mr S. W. j; Trotter, on behalf of the staff and by;Mr J. Ryan (chairman) on behalf of the aboard.
