MR D. C. KIDD M.P. RETURNS FROM AUSTRALIAN TOUR
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Although the Federal Parliament was not in session when he visited Canberra, he met the Australian Prime Minister, Mr Chifley, said the M.P. for Waimate, Mr D. C. Kidd, who with his wife arrived at Wellington today from Sydney on the Wanganella. No comment was made by Mr Kidd about his study of the Rehabilitation of Australian returned servicemen, which was the main purpose of his trip. An official report about this subject will be made later. Mr Kidd said he met Mr Chifley shortly before he joined the New Zealand Prime Minister, Mr Fraser, to fly to London for the Commonwealth Conference.
After seeing State Parliaments sitting in the course of his visits to various parts of Australia, Mr Kidd said he considered that Parliament was very well run in New Zealand.
