DAYLIGHT TRAINING FOR AUCKLAND APPRENTICES
(P.A.) AUCKLAND, This Day. Daylight training for trades’ apprentices in private industry began in Auckland today when 10 plumbers’ boys attended tneir nrsc class at Seddon Memorial College. Over 100 plumbers’ boys from the whole Auckland, area will attend daylight classes arranged by the district apprenticeship committee -or four hours a week. Daylight training for 170 apprentices to the motor trade will begin in Auckland on May 23. Government workshop apprentices have for some time received daylight trade training but only today was the principle 'extended to private industry in Auckland. Similar schemes are operating in some other centres.
