Mr V. Conway left this morning on his return to Invercargill. _ Mr T. E. Y. Seddon left this morning on his return to Wellington. Mr and Mrs S. D. Campbell left today on their return to Wellington. Mr and Mrs S. Moore, Hokitika, left today for Wellington. The Right Rev. Monsignor J. Long left this morning for Christchurch. Mr L. G. Lammas, of Kaiata, has been appointed caretaker of the Hokitika District High School. Miss Betty Stewart, of Kumara, and Miss P. Parkinson, have left for Wellington and Auckland on holiday. Sister M. Minehan, who has been on the staff of the Grey Hospital for the past 10 years, left this morning for Ashburton. , , , Mrs J. Davies, Wallsend, left by plane this morning for Auckland. She will leave Auckland on Thursday by flying-beat for Australia on an extended holiday visit. The Rev. G. H. Schurr, vicar of All Saints’ Church, Hokitika, has received notice of transfer to Ashburton. He will be replaced at Hokitika by the Rev. R. O. Williams, of St Chad’s Church, Christchurch. Mr Williams was formerly stationed in South Westland and received his early education at the Grey Main School. Mr Henry Harrison, of Hamilton, arrived today on a visit to Greymouth. Mr Harrison was a teacher at the Greymouth District High School from 1887 to 1893 but has been absent from the district for 50 years. He was formerly well-known as a Rugby half-back and also took a prominent part in cricket and athletics at Greymouth. The following are guests at the Albion Hotel.—Mr and Mrs G.
