Citizens’ Deputation To Mr Appleton
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. A deputation of citizens today asked the Mayor, Mr W. Appleton, to agree to his name going forward for nomination for Wellington Central as the National Party candidate. Mr Appleton asked for a week’s consideration before replying. He said he did not intend to contest the Mayoralty again. He is at present in his second term.
