FRANCE EXPECTED TO FIX HIGHER EXCHANGE RATES
(Recd. 11.35 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 14. Higher exchange rates for the French franc in terms of sterling, Belgian francs, Italian lire and other non-convertible currencies are expected in usually well-informed Paris financial circles to be fixed during the week-end, says Reuter’s Paris correspondent. It is understood the new rates will corresuond to the average between the existing official rate and the free market rate.
