Clyde Bridge Favoured In Geraldine Cup

Clyde Bridge’s second to Coral Arc last week at Washdyke is likely to send him out favourite for the Geraldine Cup at Orari tomorrow. It was a good performance in a useful field. Banshee, if she has recovered from the slight injury she received this week at Riccarton during a training gallop, will be in demand for she raced solidly is a trifle unluckily at Wingatui.

The Dunedin winner Tweedside was not produed last week, so his most recent form is an impressive win at Wingatui. On that he must be respected, though he has not always been a consistent horse. Shenandoah, an Omoto candidate, is not without a chance; but form favours the chances of'Clyde Bridge, Banshee and Tweedside. West Coast horses in the field include John o’ London (hurdles), Regal Lily (novice), Shenandoah (Geraldine Cup), Faultrosa and Queen’s General (Raukapuka Hack), Chellow Dene, Sitology and Palomino (sprint).
