Stayed on Solidly The Grate stayed on solidly to win the Kerrytown Hack Handicap at Washdyke last Saturday. She had a good field behind her and it was a useful trial for her Trentham engagements. The Salmagundi mare. is a good stayer and she may now go on to rival some of the deeds of her near relative, Hearth, who won up to a mile and three furlongs at' Trentham.
