Food Parcels Despatched “During the season we dispatched to English athletes a total of 42 parcels,” Mr Blackid continued, “All of these were very gratefully acknowledged and letters still reaching us are full of gratitude for our' efforts. As you are awaTe, the bearer of the Olympic torch into the Stadium was one of those to whom we had sent parcels. To those who prepared the parcels and to those who contributed towards the sending of them, I extend thanks. I also have to thank several members of the club who volunteered to send parcels privately. This was a very fine gesture.” Mr Blackie returned thanks to all who had assisted the club last-year.
