WALLACE BLAMES CHURCHILL FOR AMERICAN POLICY
NEW YORK, October 10
Mr Henry Wallace, Progressive Party candidate for the United States Presidency, to-night said: “Mr Churchill, by bluff and bluster,' took over American foreign Policy in 1946, and his policy is now based on hatred of Russia.” . . He also said that .America’s foreign policy makers, if they went unchecked, would soon have a fully rearmed Germany, and he added: “There is absolutely ho threat to our security.” Mr Wallace said that Mr Churchill, though a great battler in war time, was “a most skilful and vicious scuttler of the century of the common man in time of peace. An imperialist, he is working hand in glove with Henry Luce (the publisher of Time, Life, and Fortune) for a London-R.ome-Madrid-Wall Street Axis.” -I
