Mistake Leads To Capture
(Rec. 9.45 a.m.) SINGAPORE, October 11.
A member of the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers last night lost his own patrol in the jungle and travelled instead with a terrorist patrol for some time without knowing it. The Inniskillings’ patrol commander had told his men to follow him in single file in the dark.
At dawn the lost member of the patrol thought there was something odd about the silhouette he saw walking in front of him. When the light became better he found he was following two terrorists. He shot one dead and brought the other down with a Rugby tackle, capturing him. The captured man was found to be th'e leader of a terrorist gang.
