Ferrier Beats Pickworth
Jim Ferrier overwhelmed the Australian open golf champion, H. Pickworth, 10 up and 9 to play, on the Huntingdale Golf Club’s course in their second 72-hole challenge match. Pickworth won the first match last week at the seventy-third hole. In spite of a brilliant recovery when he reached the turn in three under par, Pickworth failed to overhaul Ferrier’s long lead. Ferrier did the next nine holes in five under par, and then went further iihead. The match was played in heavy rain.—Melbourne, October 10.
