Pakistan And Russia
(Rec. 11.40 a.m.) . LONDON, October 10. The semi-official press in Pakistan is attempting to set a price on Pakistan remaining within the Commonwealth by hints that Pakistan is considering entering the Russian orbit, despite whatever policy the Prime Minister, Liaquat Ali Khan, may have decided to pursue at the Commonwealth conference, says the Daily Telegraph’s Karachi correspondent. The Moslem League’s chief organ, Dawn, says: “Should there be no reorientation of the policy of the major partners in the Commonwealth towards Pakistan, then Pakistan will necessarily have to reorientate her own policy.”
